Title: Distrust
Author: TL Smith
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: September 21
She was a ghost, in heels.
She was there, then she wasn’t.
She would play with my emotions like a well-played guitar.
Then she would disappear. Making me want to strangle her.
Maybe she wasn’t a ghost, maybe she was the giver of sin. Because we sinned every time we touched, every time she was near.
Her lips were shaped like a heart, deceiving you at every word.
Her body was created straight from my fantasies, one I craved to bend to my will.
Her heart, well, who the hell knew. She kept that shit locked tight.
And I couldn’t find the key.

One Story: Trump, Russian Spy, and Supreme Court Justice
*Retired Texas criminal attorney, once incarcerated, pens new novel
*President Donald Trump weighed-in on conspiracy theory that novel is based upon
Successful Midland, Texas, attorney Glen D. Aaron II often defended criminals (between 1985-1995 in Midland, Texas). He experienced time behind bars himself along with a cellmate who was Americaâs highest ranking military officer convicted of spying: Colonel George Trofimoff. Aaron wrote a non-fiction book about Trofimoff who died in prison of prostate cancer.
Aaron led such a colorful life that he decided to combine tales, some fact, and some fiction into a total of seven books. Having served time on both sides of criminal law, his most recent novel, The Curse of Sacardozio, explores the murder of a Supreme Court Justice. The novel is loosely based upon the circumstances surrounding the death of Associate Supreme Court Justice Antonin Gregory Scalia (1936-2016).
âThe idea of writing a fictional representation of Justice Scaliaâs death came to me when it was reported that he had died on a ranch down by the Rio Grande,â Aaron said. âThe Feds had rushed in and immediately transported the body back to Washington, D.C. without following Texas law regarding the death of an individual in its jurisdiction. At the time, and even today, there are numerous conspiratorial theories about his death.â
Contributing to the conspiracy theories is the fact that no one observed Scaliaâs body; yet his death certificate was issued, nonetheless. Most relevant is that in February 2016, then candidate for President Donald Trump weighed-in on CNN saying that the death of Scalia was suspicious because the judge was found with a pillow over his face. CNN allows that a judge refused to order an autopsy. (http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/16/politics/antonin-scalia-autopsy-death-conspiracy-theories/index.html) Aaron states: âUnder Texas law, a magistrate has to examine the body, declare the subject dead, and issue a death certificate. In Scalia's case, the Feds swooped in and took the body back to Washington D.C. No investigation.â
Reviews of Aaronâs most recent book are coming in positive for exposing the American justice system, and he is available for interviews. Having been on both sides of the bars, his lived-in views are relevant.
