This book is about a female Texas lawyer taking on a big company for one of her clients. When things seem to spiral out of control and things heat up more danger lurks. Merit Bridges is a strong character and I truly enjoyed her. As for her nemesis Boots King he was easy to dislike and not trust. This was a really good legal thriller and had me turning the pages. The book was easy to follow. Each character was well developed in this story. I enjoyed Betty and loved Ag. I liked the relationship between Merit and her son. How she was so invested with his dyslexic struggles. While reading this book it made me feel for the characters struggling for their legal rights. How they were wronged in a system that is suppose to be fair. If you enjoy legal thrillers I would recommend this book. |
